From the moment her aunt took her in as a child, Lilith believed she was destined for an utterly ordinary life—just another girl blending into the everyday world. That all changed one fateful day when her aunt's sleek black cat sauntered in, clutching a peculiar, enchanted hat in its jaws, and purred mysteriously: “Young maiden, join me and unlock the secrets of magic!” In that instant, Lilith's eyes widened in wonder as she uncovered a thrilling truth: magic wasn't just real—it was an exhilarating adventure waiting to unfold!
Background
Lilith has never known who her birth parents were or what they did with their lives—a veil of mystery that her aunt Lulutier has always guarded closely. Whenever a curious young Lilith would ask about them, her aunt would flash a knowing smile, press a finger to her lips, and whisper, “That's a secret.”
Not that it bothered Lilith much. The idea of parents felt distant and abstract to her, like a half-remembered dream. Lulutier had raised her with warmth and care, filling her days with joy in their quaint rural village. She frolicked through sun-dappled fields with other children and playful animals, her laughter echoing under endless blue skies.
Their little hamlet was a forgotten speck in the countryside, so remote that even magical lanterns—those glowing wonders of the modern world—were unheard of. But who needed them? Life was simple, pure, and utterly blissful.
Occasionally, friends who'd glimpsed the grandeur of distant cities would regale her with tales of a dazzling realm beyond: streets alive with shimmering magical lights that turned night into day, people soaring through the air on enchanted broomsticks, wonders unfolding at every turn.
“Then why did you move to the countryside?” Lilith would ask, wide-eyed and puzzled.
Her boastful companions would deflate, shoulders slumping. “No choice. The cities are strict—only those with magical aptitude can stay long-term. I attended a few months of introductory magic classes, but I couldn't sense the mana at all. So, my whole family got booted out…”
Magic? Mana? The words sparked something primal in Lilith, a flicker of intrigue that felt both alien and exhilarating.
Surely her scholarly aunt Lulutier knew all about it. Her home brimmed with towering stacks of ancient tomes—books so heavy Lilith could barely lift them, pages filled with scripts she couldn't decipher. Yet her aunt pored over them daily, a quiet font of wisdom.
“Magic? It's just a handy tool,” Lulutier would say with a chuckle. “Like using a fork to eat your dinner—the fork's the tool.”
Oh, so that's all? Lilith's budding excitement fizzled; magic suddenly seemed as mundane as tableware.
Of course, as she grew older, Lilith came to realize it was far more profound than her aunt let on—a force that wove through the fabric of reality itself.
In their sleepy village, though, magic's absence hardly mattered. Life flowed on, unhurried and content.
Until one fateful day, when Lulutier ventured far from home… and never returned. The family's black cat began acting strangely, vanishing for days before slinking back with a peculiar, wide-brimmed magical hat clamped in its jaws.
“Young lady, come learn magic with me!” The cat's human voice sent Lilith stumbling backward in shock.
It was all part of her aunt's plan, the feline explained. Dutifully, Lilith dove into her studies, but talent eluded her. Spells fizzled, incantations faltered; even the basics, like broom flight, left her grounded and frustrated.
On the brink of despair, ready to surrender, a striking gentleman appeared—cloaked in a billowing crimson cape, his skin an unnaturally pale shade that hinted at secrets untold.
“Greetings, Lilith. I'm a friend of your aunt Lulutier. You may call me Dracula VI.” With a flourish, he presented a sealed letter: an admission recommendation to the prestigious Magic Academy.
“From this day forward, I am your mentor,” he declared, his gaze steady and intense on the bewildered girl. “I'll watch over you in Lulutier's stead.”
And so, Lilith stepped through the gates of the most renowned institution in the fantastical star domain: Magic Academy. Whispers of hidden lineages, vanishing guardians, and untapped powers swirled around her, promising a journey where every spell cast might unravel the enigmas of her past—and ignite a destiny beyond imagination.
