Mutated Perilla
Description:
Eat it to get the following effects: Flourescent, HP recovery, or poisoned.
Aquisition method:
Mutated from
Horas Spore near the
Perilla.
Explanation:
This item is supposed to be obtained by placing a Horas spore near a
Perilla. When eating, you will regenerate 15 stamina, and it is meant to give the player 3 possible status effects:
- Mysterious effects of mutated: (Obtained for 11 seconds.) This status effect does 5 poison damage ever 1 second.
- Flourescent: (Obtained for 10 seconds) This status effect increases the range in which monsters can detect you. (Not confirmed, TBA)
- Mysterious Effects of Mutated: (Obtained for 11 seconds) This buff heals the player for 5 HP every 1 second.
These effects are given at a random chance, so a player who is unlucky might only get negative effects, while a luckier player will constantly get positive ones. There is currently no way to change the chances. Eating the plant while under the positive effect can cause it to be replaced by the negative one.
NOTE: This item and it's counterpart are currently broken and do not function as intended. They are unobtainable in survival mode, and cannot be directly found in the creation mode inventory, requiring triggers to be spawned in.
Trivia:
- This item is a mostly identical counterpart to
Mutated Soil-Shoot, with the only difference being the main color, and the status effects given. - The mutated perilla and Soil-Shoot follow the trend of mutation that Horas was originally going for when it first came out, however, just like almost all other Horas mutation related items, it seems that the developers have scrapped the idea. This is supported by the fact that the items cannot be found without the use of triggers, and that the horas merchant trade was removed. Strangely enough, you can still obtain the
Mutated Horas Spore Stripe by placing it around a Perilla or Soil-Shoot.
