VOID NIGHT

The void night is a phenomenon that occurs within the survival mode of the game, and was added in version 1.7.7 The void night is an invasion of powerful creatures on the planets of Miras, Flamas, and Horas. The void Night can also infect creatures, monsters and blocks native to miras, turning them into their void versions that act differently.

●RECOMMENDED STRATEGY AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

Appearance:

  • The void night, as the name suggests, can only happen at night. Void night has a chance to happen from the time 18:0 to 0:0. The void night has no warning, unless it is at its maximum power, in which purple smoke will occasionally appear around the player during the day, warning the player of the impending danger. the void night also has an OST that will play once it has started, and will play throughout the whole night, ending once it has stopped. Once the void night is over, a random night time song will play.
  • Everything of the Void is always of a purple and magenta-ish colour scheme. Once void night has started, it will change the sky to purple, and it will become cloudy as well. Things will start to get infected, leaving a tall, purple smoke cloud on the location of the transformation.

Infection:

As stated previously, the Void Nught will spawn its own set of powerful mobs, while also infecting creatures, and plants! The foliage and fauna affected by the invasion of the Void night will quickly return back to normal once it has ended, unless it was spawned by the void itself.

Infected Creatures:

Many creatures can be affected by the Void Nights power! Once affected, they will act completely differently from their normal version, becoming more powerful! Some of them can be tamed! In which they introduce a void stamina bar to the game. This is the stamina of void creatures, and needs to be refilled to use their abilities! Be careful to make sure it doesn't run out, otherwise they'll lose the void power.

  • Land Animals:

●Wowomon: Wowomon is stronger and gains more health. You can tame it with cherries, as normal, but this varient has a powerful dash attack that can send your enemies on the recieving end flying! This costs void stamina to charge, so remember to re-fill it. Drops void meat if killed.

●Antlered deer: The antlered deer of the Void can jump very high while taking no fall damage once tamed and mounted. The maximum jump height is (BE ADDED). They can also dash in mid air, Which costs void stamina, as well as jumping. Drops void meat when killed.

●Dango: The dango still hops instead of walking like usual, but now it takes on a more sinister appearance. Instead of jumping high, it now launches a portal forward, before making another one. Dango can go through these, but so can anything really. They also make boarman companion sounds, though this is probably an unfixed bug. Using this ability while tamed takes away some stamina and needs to be regained. ●Void Shark: The most formidable underwater presence in the game! You cam barley out swim it. This void shark loses its fast, true damage dealing dash attack, but instead chooses to quickly chase you at a speed faster than your own. It will melee attack you until you die once it reaches you. Luckily, swimming gear boots can outrun them slighly, but dont make any mistakes or pauses! They spawn like regular sharks, so to avoid them, don't spend too long in the sea during a void night! Attribute: Health:500 Attack:over 100 Speed: Fast

Monsters:

Monsters can become corrupted in void night, and become even more powerful than previously. ●Void boarman: A stronger more evil looking boarman with higher stats and usually stronger weapons. Attributes: Health: 250 Damage: TBA Speed: Normal, but will be slower when carrying a sheild. ●Void boarman centurian: A rarer, much more stronger Void boarman varient, being the biggest and strongest of the boarmen variants. It has much stronger attributed. Health: 500 Attack: TBA Speed: Normal unless carrying a sheild, which is slow. ●Void spear goblin: A smarter spear goblin that finally realized it could use its spear as a melee weapon. It will initially shoot spears at the player, but if you get close, it will begin charging you with a melee attack. They can also use other ranged weapons, specifically slingshot. Stats: TBA ●Void Spear Goblin Centurian: Probably the longest name out of any of these mobs. This enemy is strong with a ranged attack, dealing quite a bit of damage. Strangley enough, he doesn't have a melee attack, as he instead uses a bow to attack the player, and sometimes even walks away to seek cover, though this may be a bug judging by the AI not working properly alot. Attributes: Health: 400 Damage: TBA Speed: Slow ●Void Boom Egg: Despite being named after the void, this thing just spawns anywhere at almost any time and light level. It wanders around aimlessly, attacking if you get close. Once you do, it'll suck you in for about 4 seconds before it explodes. Be careful with this ones as once again, it doesn't need void nught to spawn and can spawn even around early morning in high light levels. Attribute: Health: 120 Attack: 3 Speed: Hasty ● Void pirate ship (small): These mischievous pirates have used the technology of the Void night to enhance their ships! Beware! These ships can go invisible periodically, and when they spawn, it appears they are teleporting into the location. They're explosives are stronger than normal. They can also repair themselves when damaged if they do not receive damage intime. Attributes: Health:500 Attack: Low and randomized. Speed: Slow ●Void pirate ship: Like the smaller versions, they may go invisible for a brief period of time, making the fight harder. They have very powerful explosives, and shoot 2 instead of 1 at a time. They still have weak explosives due to the choice of bombs, as coconut bombs are weak. Attributes: Health: 1000 Attack:Low and randomized Speed:Slow ●Void Pirate ship (Large): An insaley storage opponent that can do all of the previous skill bit way stronger, and also fires 4 bombs per attack, each taking on the appearance of a round bomb, despite being completely different projectiles that explode on impact, instead of the timed explosions like the actual round bomb. It has very high health and can also repair. It leaves bomb ships when low on health and it can become invisible. The best strategy on fighting this ship is to use flying devices or attacking from very far, as the bomb are difficult to dodge up close. Attributes: Health: 1500 Attack: Each bombs does 60 damage, and it fires 4 at a time. Speed: Slow

Boss:

The void night has its own, unique mini boss that will occasionally spawn to make your night even worse, known as the void priest. The void priest is a pretty easy boss to defeat with AEO (area of effect) attacks like explosives. All stages will spawn 3 boarman captains with pickaxe, who will break a couple of blocks they come near, protect you base against these greifing boarmen by using strong blocks like stone or horas rock, as they'll take longer to break it.

The Void priest has 4 stages:

Stage 1: Low health, looks like a purple void apostle. It summons a few low level monsters once, including 3 miners. Stage 2: More health and summons stronger monsters. He now spawns more monsters over time. Stage 3: More health than the previous, spawns even quicker and more mobs. The amount and danger of the mobs is getting higher each stage! Stage 4: he has a top hat now and almost constantly spawns mobs. The miners around him will free him of any blocks trapping him, and may even grief your base!

Infected Plants:

A lot of crops and plants can be infected during the void night, most notable these include:

●Campanula: The campanula's void varient will periodically jingle when any creature or player enters a 5*5 radius around it. This continues until there are no creatures nearby.

●Crows foot: The void crowfoot will attack any creature or player that gets too close to it. It will even attempt to attack you before you get close to it… How rude!

●Flourescent Mushroom: The Flourescent Mushroom will become massive, generating at a random height. The mushrooms act as a trampoline, negating all fall damage from any height. You can also charge up a super jump, as if you were on a mount. Allowing you top jump up to a maximum of twelve (12) blocks high.

●Giant scaly fruit, and Buru fruit: Giant scaly fruit and Buru fruit will turn into a strange new purple crop, and a question mark will appear on the 4 sides of it. These can be harvested to give you the same block, however, there is a chance you get a randomized face on the front of the block! This is purely for decoration, but it can even be worn for 1 point of physical defense, which is also mostly for decoration.

●Void Wild Rose: Can be used as a substitute in cooking. All plants of the Void can be farmed except for the Void Melon Hats, but they can only grow in the dark, so you'll need to set up a proper room for them to grow in with no light, just like soil-shoot.
