Dodo

Dodo is one of the first animal players can encounter in normal survival gameplay. They're small size, herbivore birds that spawn in most biomes, the amount of dodo spawned in a same location can range from 1 to 4 individuals with 2 is the most common in grassland biomes and unclear in other biomes.

Dodo are a flightless species of pigeon, the dodo is easily identifiable by its large beak and snout. Furthermore, they're medium sized birds with large yellow hook-shaped beaks with red at the end. Its body is covered in white feathers that get darker the lower down. It has 2 small white wings that always flap in every of its animation and a simple, chicken-like tail. Their legs are small, white and simple with duck-like feet.

Dodos are passive animals on Miras that spawn almost anywhere. They're commonly found wandering in grassland or forest biomes. They tend to have low intelligence (like most in-game passive mobs), these guys will run around for exactly 5 seconds every time they get attacked by a player or other creature (flee time does not stack). They're natural prey of Fox as these creatures will attack any Dodo in range. On basic, Dodo will sometimes create 2 sounds similar to a mix of duck and some other kind of bird. When damaged, Dodo will create a duck-like sound. While on sleeping animation, it produces the same sound as other mobs that have this animation. Dodo will looks at player within 6 blocks away from it and will follows player if the player is holding a Grass Feed or a chicken/dodo feed (legacy/unobtainable item). They however will not get attracted by Rice like in older version yet Little Dodo still have this behavior till this version

Dodo when falling will slow it falling speed down by 50% but will not make it invincible to fall damage as it still take half the fall damage upon landing

In the current version, Dodo will ONLY eat Grass Feed either fed by hand or put the item in a Feed trough for better efficiency. Upon fed, they will emit heart particle and ready to mate. When a Dodo find another one nearby that also in the “ready-to-mate“ state, both of it will have a popup icon above them, asking for a Nest. After all of the previous progress, one of them will lay 1 to 3 eggs into the nest, player can wait for them to hatch into dodo chicks or take the egg from the nest for Dodo Eggs (dodo also passively produce this item). After breeding, these creature will not able to mate again in 5 minute before ready to mate

Dodo is the most common farm animal and also the easiest farm animal player can raise as they can reproduce extremely fast, their meat ca me use for many crafting recipe with the most useful one so far are roast dodo family bucket that can be eaten for a temporary speed boost or used for taming raptor
