Boarman

Use it at the target location to spawn a Boarman. Active melee attacker with low Movement Speed. Defeat it to obtain EXP, Giant Scaly Fruit Slice and Silk Thread.

The Boarmen are hostile monsters, they appear throughout night-time and act in a manner closely similar to players. They are tribe members that wear a boar mask and can be highly aggressive towards players. They walk at the same walking speed as other players and will pick up and wear or use any pieces of armor or weapons dropped by players. Boarmen will sleep after the sun rises, which makes them sit still until night comes again. Giant Scaly Fruit Slices or Silk Thread can be obtained after defeating them, but the latter is a bit more rare.

• Can equip armor dropped on the ground
• Can steal dropped melee weapons
• Will hunt scarecrows on sight
• Sleeps at day, hunts at night
• Can break doors

• Boarmen won't attack any player that wears a Boarman Mask. Although they will attack them if they intimidate them intentionally.
• In earlier versions, they were formerly known as Savages.
• A Boarman's soul can be purified with a Wizard Mace after dancing on a Bonfire and eating the food on it at night, along with Spear Goblins and Jockeys. If a player is seen during this process, they'll notice them and attack them.
• Whenever the clock reaches 6 and the sun appears, they'll sleep. Whenever the clock reaches 20 and the sun is gone, they'll wake up. Although they can't be purified unless at night, they'll wake up and become hostile against players if someone interrupts their sleep, like attacking them or getting close to them at the sunset.
• Boarmen, Spear Goblins, and Jockeys are the only mobs to show nocturnal tendencies.
